2017-18 Annual Visiting Fellowships Competition Now Open

The IMLR's annual Fellowships competition offers opportunities for visiting scholars, with or without funding, to conduct research into any field relevant to the work of the Institute.

Up to fifteen Visiting Fellowships/Scholarships are available for 2017-18 on a non-stipendiary basis, tenable at the Institute or at one of the IMLR's six research centres:

Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women's Writing
Centre for the Study of Cultural Memory
Ingeborg Bachmann Centre for Austrian Literature
Research Centre for German and Austrian Exile Studies 
Centre for Quebec and French-Canadian Studies
Centre for Ernst Bloch Studies

In addition, Fellowships/Scholarships in Germanic Studies are available sponsored by the Sylvia Naish Bequest, and Fellowships in German-Speaking Exile Studies are available with funding from the Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller Trust.
