Job Opportunity at the IMLR for ECR in French Studies

The IMLR is seeking a full-time Early Career Researcher in French/Francophone Studies. The post is available on a fixed-term basis for a twelve-month period commencing in November 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The appointee will be responsible for fulfilling the Institute's national mission to promote and facilitate research and public engagement in French/Francophone studies, for producing excellent research and publications in the field, and for seeking external funding. (S)he will be expected to assist with the preparation, support and promotion of interdisciplinary scholarly events related to French Studies, in conjunction with the Institute’s academic staff and administrators, to create and develop new opportunities to promote scholarly work related to French Studies at the IMLR and external venues, to convene academic events that promote the study of Modern Languages nationally and internationally, and to proactively develop postgraduate training events, outreach with teachers and schools, and relevant national and international research networks.

Candidates must have completed a doctorate in French and/or Francophone Studies. Experience of public engagement and schools outreach is highly desirable.
