Dr Anne Simon appointed to Fixed-Term Lectureship in German at the Institute

The Institute is delighted to announce that Dr Anne Simon, formerly of Bristol University, has been appointed to the fixed-term Lectureship in German, replacing Dr Godela Weiss-Sussex who will be on research leave in 2012-2013. Dr Simon will take up her post on 10 September 2012.

Institute awarded AHRC Skills Development Grant

The Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies has been successful in obtaining a £38k award from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, in the framework of their Skills Development Call. The IGRS will be working closely with colleagues at King’s College and the University of London Institute in Paris on offering a programme on Modern Languages and Film, targeting postgraduate research students working on Film Studies in Schools of Modern Languages in the UK.
