Description

A Modernist in Exile (Legenda, 2019) examines H.G. Adler’s significant contribution to literary modernism and scholarly investigations of persecution and genocide under National Socialism. Responding to the international acclaim Adler is now receiving, the fifteen contributions to the volume offer innovative perspectives on his poetry, prose, essays, and unpublished works, while elucidating the complex reception history of Adler’s œuvre.

The launch will feature short presentations by the editor of the volume Lynn L. Wolff, Jeremy Adler, and Peter Filkins, with time for discussion.
